Spinal Decompression for Irving Texas
Do You Suffer From Chronic Back / Neck Pain?
Chronic back pain affects millions of Americans. In the past you have had options such as risky surgery, addictive pain medications, the perpetual muscle relaxers and ant-inflammatory medications which have their own risk clearly recognized. Now there is a natural treatment that may offer you a better result.
What would my M.D. think of me getting this treatment?
You can best answer this question by stating that if you are like some of our patients, you might even look up and see your M.D. benefiting from these treatments.
How Spinal Decompression therapy works!
Spinal decompression is a non-surgical treatment that uses age-old traction with a state of the art computer. The treatments are very comfortable and use a harness like device which is connected to a computer. The computer controls the amount of stretch and relaxation of the disc, ligaments, and muscles which allow for taking the pressure off (decompression). The herniated disc which bulges out of the disc is pulled back into place as well as possible and thru a series of treatments, heals as natural as possible.
The results are known to be remarkably successful long term. Also included with this therapy is a certain type of electric stimulation which is noted for it’s deep penetration into the often swollen and sensitive tissues surrounding the irritated disc. Yes, this treatment is largely effective in reducing pain which travels into the arms from the neck or legs from the lower back. Most neck and back problems are as a result of compression of the bones and disc, so it makes sense common sense wise that it would work. Research as well as clinical experience shows that most people appear to benefit from this procedure. However like everything else in the world of medicine, not every person responds the same. We are probably fortune in that we try to help 8 to 9 of every 10 people who walk come in for treatments. Considering the considerable risk of surgery with the relatively lower success rate, it is clear to see why this is the treatment of choice for almost everyone.
How you will feel with the treatment!
To begin, you will be greeted by Krystal in the front reception area and escorted to the spinal decompression table, where you will be made comfortable from the very start. (Comfort is everything in our clinic). You will be snugged into the harnessing spinal decompression equipment on the table and can either lay on your stomach or face up, whichever is more comfortable with you. You will also have the benefit of our state of the art electric stimulation to the tight muscles. You will be given your very own personal large electric stimulation pads to the surrounding soft tissues. As the spinal decompression begins, in many cases, you will feel from the very start a very pleasant sensation of taking the pressure off of the compressed disc with a feeling of immediate relief. At the same time, you will also begin to feel the sensation of calming which occurs with the tight muscles and nerves being gently stimulated by the Therastim. There are two of these machines in Irving and Dr. Hanna owns both of them. This is one of the newest technologies of it’s type in the entire world and yes, we have it for you.
You will lay comfortably on the table for 15-20 minutes with feeling the affects (relief in so many cases). The results generally seen in our experience is that between 8-9/10 patients benefit from this treatment.
Following the treatment, you will be gently un-snugged from the table by Dr. Hanna and will be helped up comfortably. You will be done with your treatment at that time and hopefully will meet Krystal at the front of the clinic with a big smile and say, thank goodness for this treatment.
